Terms of Use
These terms cover how you use BuildersTake. By creating an account or using the product, you agree to them. They are written in plain words on purpose.
1. Your account
You are responsible for your account and for keeping your password private. Tell us right away at support@builderstake.com if you think someone else has gotten into it. You agree to give accurate information when you sign up and to keep it current.
2. BuildersTake is ours, and you cannot copy it
BuildersTake, and everything that makes it work, is owned by the company that makes it. The name, the logo, the layout, the design, the wording, the code, and the ideas behind it are all protected by copyright and other rights, and they stay the property of BuildersTake. Using the product does not give you any ownership of it. You agree that you will not:
- Copy, reproduce, republish, or resell the product or any part of it.
- Reverse engineer it, decompile it, or take it apart to see how it is built.
- Scrape, download in bulk, or harvest its pages, code, or design.
- Use it, or anything you learn from it, to build or help build a competing product.
- Feed the product, its screens, or its code into another tool or an AI in order to copy or recreate it.
- Remove or hide any copyright, trademark, or ownership notice.
Nothing on any page of BuildersTake grants you a license to any of it beyond the right to use the product as intended while your account is in good standing.
3. Your content stays yours
The build data you enter belongs to you. To run the product, you give BuildersTake permission to store, process, and show that data back to you and to the people you invite to your own company. That permission exists only so the product can work, and it ends when you delete the data or close your account.
4. Using it the right way
You agree to use BuildersTake only for lawful purposes and only for your own business. You agree not to misuse it, interfere with it, try to break its security, or use it to store or send anything unlawful.
5. Beta and subscriptions
If you are in the private beta, the separate Beta Agreement also applies to you. The beta is free while it runs. Everyone who is a BuildersTake account holder during the beta keeps a 50% discount on the subscription for as long as they remain an account holder, beginning when paid subscriptions launch. Pricing and paid terms will be shown clearly before any charge is ever made.
6. As is, and limits on liability
BuildersTake is provided as is. It is a tool to help you run your builds, not a replacement for your own records or your own judgment on a job. To the extent the law allows, BuildersTake is not responsible for losses that come from using the product, so keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.
7. Ending your access
You can stop using BuildersTake at any time. We can suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms, especially the ownership rules in section 2. The parts of these terms about ownership, about not copying or competing with the product, and about liability continue even after your access ends.
8. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms as the product grows, and we will update the date below when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee.
