1. Your numbers stay yours

The build costs, budgets, draws, photos, and everything else you enter belong to you. Nobody at BuildersTake looks at your job numbers, and there is no screen in the product that would show them to us. You can export all of your data at any time, including after you stop using the product.

2. What we collect

• Account information you give us: your name, email address, company name, and the password you set.
• The information you enter to run your builds: projects, line items, budgets, draws, subcontractors, photos, and estimates.
• Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, like device type and the pages you open, used to keep the service running and secure.

3. How we use it

We use your information to run BuildersTake for you, to sign you in, to send you account and service messages, to answer support requests, and to keep the product working and secure. We use non-identifying, aggregate usage to improve the product. We do not use your build numbers for anything other than showing them back to you.

4. We do not sell your data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or your build data to anyone. We do not show ads, and we do not let anyone pay to reach you inside the product.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers we need to run BuildersTake, such as our hosting and email delivery providers, and only so they can perform that work for us. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of BuildersTake and its users. If BuildersTake is ever involved in a merger or sale, your information may transfer as part of that, and this policy will continue to apply to it.

6. Security

Your data is stored in a protected database and access is limited. We use industry standard measures to guard it. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise it can never be reached by someone who should not, but we work to keep that risk low and to keep the promises above.

7. Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can export your data at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and its data by writing to support@builderstake.com. Some records may be kept where the law requires it.

8. Cookies

BuildersTake uses a small number of cookies that are needed to sign you in and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising or cross site tracking cookies.

9. Children

BuildersTake is a tool for businesses and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy as the product grows. When we make a meaningful change, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, let you know inside the product.
