Accessibility
BuildersTake is built to be usable by as many people as possible, on a phone or a computer, whatever tools they rely on to get around a screen.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA as our working standard, and we treat accessibility as part of building the product, not an afterthought.
What we do
- Label the forms, buttons, and controls so a screen reader can announce them.
- Keep text and its background at a readable contrast.
- Support keyboard use for the main paths through the product.
- Lay pages out so they work on a small phone screen as well as a desktop.
- Write in plain words, so the product is easier to follow for everyone.
Still improving
Accessibility is never finished. Some parts of the product may not yet fully meet our goal, and we are working through them as the product grows. If something is hard to use with your assistive technology, we want to know so we can fix it.
Tell us
If you run into an accessibility problem anywhere in BuildersTake, write to support@builderstake.com. Tell us the page and what got in your way, and we will work to make it right.
Everyone should be able to run their builds here. Help us keep it that way.
